Charcoal Barbecue Grill

Choosing the Right Charcoal Barbecue Grill:

If you enjoy charcoal grill cooking then getting the right barbeque charcoal grill is a must.  There are many charcoal grill manufacturers, different models and of course, the prices vary a lot depending on the model, brand name, size of the grill and other particulars.  With all the models available on the market today, it should not be too hard to find something that suits your tastes and is affordable too.

If you are going camping or you like to go to the beach and have a barbecue there, then you should get one of the smaller, portable charcoal barbecue grills.  They cost less than $100 and are easy to set up and easy to transport and store.  Arcticproducts makes a deluxe portable barbeque charcoal grill that costs between $55 – $70 and is stainless steel, easy to transport, and easy to use.  Weber makes a very high quality one that can cost a bit more but has a 10 year limited warranty on it and it is bit bigger too.  It is also made so that a heavy wind will not tip it over, which is needed particularly for beach barbecuing.  If you need something that is really affordable then Bayou makes a very nice fold and go grill that comes with a bag included and costs only $23.  It is important to note that all the above grills are a bit small and not really suitable if you are planning a beach party for a group of friends or extended family.  However, you can get larger portable charcoal barbecue grills such as Medina’s suitcase folding charcoal grill for just $140.

If you do not need to take the grill anywhere and just need something that will sit on your patio or backyard for barbecues at home, then there are many patio classic charcoal grills to choose from.  Generally speaking, the larger the grill, the more expensive it will be.  Take a moment to consider how large a grill you need – if you will have large groups of friends coming over regularly, or if you have extended family living near you then you may need one of the larger grills but if you are do not large groups over to your home regularly, then getting a medium sized grill should do just fine.  You should also take into consideration how much space you have on the patio for the grill.  Barbecue grills will get ruined if left out in the yard, so consider if you have room on the patio for the grill, or if you have room to store it in the garage when not in use.

A few charcoal grill manufacturers that make affordable patio classic charcoal grills are Weber, Fire Magic, and Portable Kitchens Inc.  Each of these brand names make a number of different models; some are quite costly as they are larger and have more amenities but they also make good quality medium sized barbecue grills.  Portable Kitchens Inc. makes a very nice cast aluminum grill with vents that adjust easily for temperature control.  It is easy to clean and easy to add in additional charcoal as needed and it is quite affordable too at just $250. Weber’s and Fire Magic’s models range in price depending on the material it is made from, the size, and other details.

If you enjoy charcoal grill cooking and would like to get a higher end brand name charcoal grill, but only have a limited budget, then one thing you can do is check out the possibilities of buying one secondhand.  Sites such as Craigslist.com and eBay will often have good deals offered that you can take advantage of.  It helps to first know what the going price is a new grill so you can see if you are really getting a good deal or not.  Another thing to consider is that if you buy a grill secondhand, it will not be under warranty and you will not be able to get a refund it anything goes wrong, or if it turns out to not be the kind of grill that you wanted.  When buying items secondhand it is important to check out the item carefully.  If the person selling the item lives in the general area, go in person to look over the grill and make sure it is what you had in mind.   You can often get a good deal buying second hand but it is also possible to get ripped off or get something that is lower quality than what you had expected.
